Familiarity with basic Tanakh stories, concepts, characters and events are foundational elements of Jewish education. Midrash is a great vehicle for teaching the big building blocks. Lessons in this area range from getting to know our Ancestors to grappling with what kind of creature the Tanin (mentioned in early B’reisheet) could actually be, looking at different commentaries, engaging in debates, trying new art techniques, creating Kohanic fashion shows, learning the source plants for Ketoret (incense) and so much more! We are passionate about Tanakh and we are excited to see this spark in our students.
