Our Vision
We believe Jewish art has the power to make Jewish life more visible, strengthen us in challenging times, and create meaningful pathways into Jewish belonging.
Studio Shoshan + Av Rimon work at the intersection of Jewish art, education, and community building. Drawing on Jewish text, history, ritual, cultural diversity, and material traditions, we create experiences that invite people not only to learn about Judaism, but to encounter it, question it, interpret it, and make it their own.
Our work is guided by three interconnected commitments:
Jewish Visibility
Jewish culture belongs in the cultural landscape.
We create art, exhibitions, workshops, and public experiences that make Jewish stories, ideas, and creative traditions visible. Our work presents Jewish life in its full complexity: ancient and contemporary, sacred and cultural, Ashkenazi, Sephardi, Mizrahi, Diaspora, and Israeli.
At a time when Jewish identity can feel misunderstood, minimized, or unwelcome, we believe in making Jewish culture visible with creativity, confidence, and joy.
Resilience
Creativity helps us respond, adapt, and continue.
Jewish tradition holds centuries of artistic and cultural responses to rupture, displacement, uncertainty, and renewal. We draw on those resources to create spaces where people can explore layered experiences, engage difficult questions, and remain connected to one another.
We understand resilience as not only enduring adversity, but as sustaining the relationships, cultural confidence, creative agency, and shared memory that allow Jewish life to continue growing.
Belonging
Everyone deserves an authentic way into Jewish tradition.
There is no single way to be Jewish or to connect with Jewish life. We design accessible, participatory experiences that allow people of different ages, backgrounds, abilities, and levels of knowledge to enter through making, conversation, movement, music, visual art, text, or ritual.
Our goal is not to prescribe what Jewish expression should look like. It is to provide rich materials, meaningful questions, and creative opportunities through which people can discover where they belong.
How We Work
Our approach is multidisciplinary, and experiential, based in Jewish sources. A project often begins with a primary source, with a text from Tanakh, a ritual object, a historical event, a piece of music, an archaeological artifact, or a question facing Jewish communities today.
From there, we build experiences that bring together:

Personal reflection
Communal participation
Whether we are creating a curriculum, leading a workshop, designing a popup exhibit, or developing a community-wide project, we use creativity to open Jewish tradition.
What We Hope to Build
We envision a growing comunity of artists, educators, cultural workers, and communities using creativity to build a Jewish future that is visible, resilient, and deeply connected.
We want Jewish art to live not only in museums or galleries, but in classrooms, synagogues, community spaces, homes, streets, and wherever people gather to make meaning together.
